Chris - a well done case for Steve Garvey. I lived in L.A. during the late 70's and while the Dodgers were not my team, they won and had well-known players all over the field. Garvey had the reputation then of going 4-4 with 3 RBIs in a 12-2 Dodger win. His postseason performances certainly dispel that perceived lack of ability to put the team on his back. As for his Gold Gloves, there may be no other players to post negative dWAR for each of the years they won a Gold Glove - in Garvey's case all 4 years. His range was so limited which the fielding % does not display. No way he should get in before Keith Hernandez or Don Mattingly in my book.
